The Ministry of Mining is reiterating its stance on the plans to establish the National Mining Company which will be responsible to boost mining activities in the country.
Responsible Minister Albert Mbawala made the sentiment Thursday in Lilongwe, during a press briefing aimed at updating the public on the status of mining in the country.
Mbawala discloses that the ministry will proceed with the plan to establish the national mining company after the government established the mining authority which will work as a regulator to ensure that there is sanity in the mining sector.
He says the Mining Authority bill will be tabled in Parliament in February this year, where a node on the formulation of the Mining Authority will be given and later the National Mining Company will be established.
